Baghdad: National Security Adviser Qassem al-Araji emphasized the need for the United Kingdom to take a more active role in halting the conflict between Iran and the Zionist entity. During a meeting with British Ambassador to Baghdad, Irfan Siddiq, and his accompanying delegation, Al-Araji highlighted the significant repercussions of the ongoing war on regional and global peace and stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on reviewing the latest developments in the region, including the conflict’s dangerous implications. Discussions also covered various issues of mutual interest, such as the Al-Hol camp situation and the necessity for countries to repatriate their nationals from the camp.

Al-Araji reiterated the Iraqi government’s stance on regional events, stressing the importance of the United Kingdom’s involvement in halting the conflict. He underscored Iraq’s opposition to the use of its airspace and territory for attacks on neighboring countries, including Iran. An official complaint has been lodged by Iraq concerning the Zionist entity’s breach of Iraqi sovereignty through the use of its airspace for aggression against Iran.

The British Ambassador, Irfan Siddiq, expressed his country’s opposition to violence and military solutions for resolving international disputes.
