Baghdad: Defense Minister Thabet Mohammed Saeed Al-Abbasi confirmed that Iraqi forces are ready for any eventuality.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Minister made this statement during an expanded meeting with several members of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee. The meeting was attended by the Army Chief of Staff, the Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, the Secretary of Intelligence and Security, the Commander of the Land Forces, and a number of commanders and officers from the Ministry of Defense.
