Iraqi Armed Forces Remain Vigilant Amid Regional Tensions

Baghdad: The Iraqi Armed Forces have declared their readiness to respond to any potential emergencies, as confirmed by the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah al-Numan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Numan emphasized that the armed forces, encompassing all branches, are actively engaged in daily operations to combat remaining ISIS terrorist elements. Furthermore, they are focused on apprehending drug dealers and pursuing organized crime across all Iraqi governorates, achieving significant progress in these endeavors.

Al-Numan highlighted that the Iraqi-Syrian border is secured by border forces, the army, and supporting units. Additionally, competent security services are keeping a close watch on individuals inciting unrest and those threatening civil peace through social media and other platforms, with measures in place to arrest those who publish provocative materials.

Moreover, Iraq is closely monitoring the ongoing conflict between Iran and the Zionist entity, with al-Numan expressing hope that Iraq remains unaffected by this regional tension both now and in the future.
