Kirkuk: The Archdiocese of Kirkuk and Sulaymaniyah organized the first-ever conference for Turkmen-speaking Chaldeans at the Chaldean Cultural Center hall, located within the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Kirkuk. This event marked a significant gathering aimed at recognizing and addressing the unique cultural and social contributions of Turkmen-speaking Chaldeans within the community.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the conference saw the participation of distinguished members of Kirkuk’s communities, including thinkers, researchers, and the head of the Kirkuk branch of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate. This diverse gathering underscored the importance of the event as a platform for dialogue and cultural exchange.

During the conference, Bishop Youssef Toma, the Archbishop of Kirkuk and Sulaymaniyah, delivered a speech focusing on the status of Turkmen-speaking Christians. He highlighted their historical significance and social contributions, emphasizing the need for continued recognition and support for these communities.
