Al-Hakim and Al-Amiri Affirm Support for Iran Against Zionist Aggression


Baghdad: The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, and the Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri, have expressed Iraq’s backing for Iran in its confrontation with Zionist aggression.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Hakim’s office released a statement detailing a meeting between Al-Hakim and Al-Amiri, during which they discussed the evolving political landscape in Iraq and the broader region, as well as anticipating future events. In their discussions, both leaders reiterated Iraq’s support for the Islamic Republic of Iran against Israeli hostilities. They urged the international community, including relevant organizations and Islamic nations, to take decisive action to halt these aggressions and to prevent a potential crisis that might escalate globally.



The leaders also highlighted the importance of the supreme religious authority’s statement condemning the Zionist aggression against Iran. This statement warned of widespread chaos and rejected the targeting of religious and political leaders. Furthermore, it called for a peaceful resolution to the Iranian nuclear issue, adhering to international law principles.



The statement from Al-Hakim’s office also underscored the significance of the forthcoming elections, describing them as essential for achieving sustainable stability. Both leaders stressed that electoral competition should be grounded in realistic platforms and encouraged broad, effective, and informed participation in the electoral process.
