Nineveh: Chief of the Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidane, affirmed that Iraq’s unity, sovereignty, and security are a red line. During his meeting with judges specializing in counterterrorism, security, and major crimes at the Nineveh Court of Appeal, Zidane emphasized the importance of collaboration between the judiciary and security agencies. He stressed the need for strict legal action against individuals who incite discord or spread false rumors that could undermine the state’s democratic political system.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Zidane’s meetings included the presence of Appeal Chief Judge Raed Hamid, Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil, and security leaders from various specialties. Zidane highlighted that maintaining security is a collective responsibility, with each individual contributing according to their role.

During his visit to the Nineveh Court of Appeal, Zidane inaugurated the new building for the Courts of First Instance and Personal Status in Mosul, as well as the Judges’ Forum. In these events, the Chief Justice also ordered the prosecution of those who misuse social media to harm the state and misrepresent the truth.
