Minister of Education Discusses Academic Cooperation with Pakistani Ambassador


Baghdad: Minister of Education Naeem Al-Aboudi discussed academic cooperation and the draft memorandum of understanding between the two countries with the Pakistani Ambassador.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Naeem Al-Aboudi received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Iraq, Muhammad Zeeshan Ahmed, to explore prospects for scientific and academic collaboration. The meeting focused on fostering relationships between the universities of both nations and establishing effective partnerships as part of the ministry’s strategy to internationalize education.



During the discussions, emphasis was placed on the importance of developing relations between universities in Iraq and Pakistan. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is committed to adopting a policy that promotes international education as a strategic pillar for enhancing global partnerships.



The draft memorandum of understanding was also a key topic of the meeting. It aims to enhance institutional cooperation, promote the exchange of expertise, and provide scholarships that will enable students and researchers to participate in specialized academic programs.



The Pakistani Ambassador highlighted his country’s interest in deepening academic ties, improving communication between universities, and coordinating initiatives that foster sustainable scientific relations.
