Joint Forces Launch Large-Scale Security Operation North of Kirkuk


Kirkuk: Joint forces from the army, police, and Popular Mobilization Forces have initiated a large-scale security operation in various areas north of Kirkuk Governorate. A joint force from the 16th Brigade and the Special Forces Regiment within the Northern and East Tigris Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces, in coordination with Iraqi army units and local police, conducted this operation.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation involves conducting thorough searches of several vital areas to locate wanted individuals and remaining ISIS cells. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance security stability, pursue terrorist remnants, and prevent any subversive activity in the region.



The operation is set to continue for several days, following well-thought-out plans and with high field coordination among all participating forces.
