Kirkuk: Kirkuk Governor Rebwar Taha, Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee, received Army Chief of Staff General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah. This meeting took place during General Yarallah’s visit to the governorate building, where he was welcomed in the presence of key figures including Nashat Shaho Weiz, Chairman of the Security and Defense Committee in the Provincial Council, Lieutenant General Qasim Al-Muhammadi, Commander of the Ground Forces, Major General Saleh Haraz, Commander of Kirkuk Operations, the Commander of the 8th Division, the Prime Minister’s Advisor, and other security leaders.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions during the meeting focused on the security situation in Kirkuk and efforts towards joint cooperation between the administration and the operations command. They examined the operations’ efforts to maintain security and the collaborative coordination between all security and intelligence formations, highlighting the impact of these efforts on achieving stability. The meeting also covered cooperation in the implementation of cleansing and cleaning operations in the Zgheitoun Valley.
General Yarallah confirmed the support of the security forces and their backing for the efforts of the Kirkuk administration, emphasizing the continued partnership to ensure the region’s security.
