Damascus: The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority announced on Tuesday the reopening of airspace to air traffic, returning it to normal operations as of 10:00 a.m., following a temporary closure that had been in place since June 18, 2025.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Authority confirmed that the decision came after completing the necessary technical and security assessments, noting that the airspace is now safe for flights to and from Syria.

Syria had temporarily closed its airspace in light of the recent security tensions in the region, prompting airlines to adjust their flight paths to avoid any potential risks.
