According to National Iraqi News Agency, the dialogue between the two leaders highlighted the significance of maintaining calm and reducing tensions. They advocated for dialogue and peaceful resolutions as methods to address ongoing crises, with the aim of reinforcing regional and international peace.
The conversation also addressed the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. Both presidents agreed on the necessity of intensifying international and regional efforts to stop the Israeli aggression, ensure the delivery of urgent humanitarian aid, end the blockade, and alleviate civilian suffering.
