Baghdad: Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani departed Baghdad today, embarking on an official visit to Turkey at the helm of a parliamentary delegation. This visit comes following an official invitation from Numan Kurtulmus, the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Mashhadani’s agenda includes a series of meetings with key Turkish officials. Among these are discussions with the Speaker of the National Assembly and various government officials and political figures. The primary focus of these meetings is to explore avenues for enhancing parliamentary collaboration between Iraq and Turkey, bolster efforts for regional stability, and exchange perspectives on shared regional challenges.
