Najaf: Iranian Consul General in Najaf, Saeed Sayedin, expressed gratitude to the Supreme Religious Authority and the various components of Iraq for their support against Zionist aggression during a recent two-week conflict. He highlighted ongoing discussions with Iraqi authorities to facilitate the arrival of two million Iranian pilgrims for the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sayedin conveyed his appreciation during a meeting with journalists and representatives of satellite channels and news agencies in Najaf. He specifically acknowledged the wise and supportive stance of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, and extended thanks to the diverse segments of the Iraqi populace.

Sayedin remarked on the solidarity and cooperation shown by Iraq, noting the gratitude owed to the Iraqi government, its citizens, and religious authorities. He criticized the Zionist entity for violating diplomatic norms and international laws, claiming it committed severe offenses against Iran, with misguided intentions of destabilizing the Islamic regime.

He further clarified that Iran’s actions were defensive, aiming to protect its sovereignty while advocating for peace, disarmament, and non-interference in the region’s internal affairs.
