Seville: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid and First Lady Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed met with King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia during a reception organized for the leaders, heads of state, and delegations attending the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the presidential statement revealed that President Rashid and the First Lady expressed their gratitude for the invitation to the conference and conveyed their hopes for its success. President Rashid acknowledged Spain’s support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.

President Rashid emphasized his eagerness to bolster the bilateral relations between Iraq and Spain and to enhance cooperation that benefits the mutual interests of both nations. He expressed optimism that the conference would yield recommendations conducive to the aspirations of the peoples for security, stability, progress, and prosperity.
