Baghdad: Iraq’s military spending in 2025 will exceed $6 billion, according to the American magazine CEOWorld.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the American magazine reported in a statistic that the United States’ military budget will reach $997 billion in 2025, ranking first in terms of spending. It is followed by China, whose military budget amounts to approximately $314 billion. Russia is positioned third with a budget of $149 billion, while Germany and India are fourth and fifth, with military budgets of $88 billion and $86 billion, respectively.

The magazine added that Iraq’s military spending for the current year will amount to $6.2 billion. This figure represents 1.9% of the country’s gross domestic product and accounts for 0.2% of global military spending.
