Erbil: Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani arrived in Erbil on Sunday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, his media office stated that al-Mashhadani was accompanied by the head of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Ziyad al-Janabi. They were received by Deputy Speaker Shakhwan Abdullah and the Kurdistan Region’s Minister of Interior, Rebar Ahmed Khalid.

The statement highlighted that the visit aims to facilitate discussions with leaders in Erbil on joint issues. The agenda includes activating work between the central government and the region, resolving disputes, and discussing the upcoming parliamentary elections.
