Baghdad: Head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front and leader of the United Iraqi Turkmen Front list, Mohammed Semaan Agha, held a meeting with Mohammed Hassan, the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, at the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) headquarters. The discussions focused on the security developments in the Kirkuk Governorate, specifically addressing issues in the Altun Kupri district. The meeting also covered the Iraqi Turkmen Front’s preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Mohammed Semaan Agha highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by the people in the Altun Kupri district, emphasizing the importance of justice and legitimate representation for the Turkmen community. He urged the need for fair administration and representation to ensure stability and balance within the region.

In his discussions with the UN Special Envoy, Agha requested direct communication with the Iraqi Prime Minister to reaffirm the Turkmen’s demands. He stressed the importance of addressing these demands within a national framework that promotes stability and fairness in the Kirkuk Governorate.
