Ankara: The Turkish army reported that five of its soldiers have died and 14 others were injured as a result of methane gas inhalation in northern Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the incident occurred while the soldiers were conducting a search operation in a cave for the body of a soldier who was killed by terrorists in 2022. The army’s statement highlighted the unfortunate loss and injuries suffered during the operation.
