Baghdad: MPs announced that they have submitted an official request to dismiss Parliament Speaker Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani from his position and refer him to medical committees to determine his “mental health and medical capacity,” according to what they said.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, MP Mohammed Nouri stated in a joint press conference on Monday that “Al-Mashhadani is not qualified to manage the legislative authority and is responsible for obstructing important laws that affect the lives of citizens and serve Iraq.”
