Sweida: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced that at least 37 people were killed and more than 50 others were injured in clashes between armed groups in Sweida, southern Syria.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Observatory explained that the violence was concentrated in Sweida province following an incident in which a young Druze man was robbed on the highway connecting Damascus to Sweida city a few days ago.

The clashes resulted in the deaths of at least 27 Druze and 10 Bedouins, while more than 50 people sustained varying degrees of injuries, as reported by the Observatory and local activists.

In response, the Syrian Ministry of Defense deployed military reinforcements to the area in an attempt to contain tensions and restore security.
