Istanbul: Turkish Airlines has denied reports circulating about the cancellation of its flights to Iraq, Jordan, Iran, and Lebanon, confirming that its services to these countries are continuing as scheduled without any changes.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in an official statement, the airline said, “The reports published by some Arabic media outlets are baseless and not supported by any official source.”

Similarly, the Iraqi Ministry of Transport refuted claims regarding the closure of Iraqi airspace to air traffic or the suspension of flights between Iraq and Turkey.

Iranian media outlets also denied reports alleging that Iranian airspace had been closed.

In the Kurdistan Region, authorities at Erbil International Airport dismissed these claims as well, affirming that the rumors circulating on social media had no basis in fact. The airport’s director, Ahmed Hoshyar, told Kurdistan24, “The reports about Turkey halting its flights to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region are entirely false. These are mere rumors lacking any official source or verified information.”

Earlier, some Arabic media outlets had reported that Turkey had canceled several flights bound for Iraq, Iran, and Jordan, without providing any official clarification regarding the reasons for the alleged sudden decision.
