Erbil: Deputy Speaker of Parliament Shakhwan Abdullah has condemned the recent attacks on oil and vital facilities in the Kurdistan Region, calling for immediate action to address the security threats. He has directed the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee to investigate the incidents and identify the responsible parties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Abdullah’s statement highlighted the severity of the attacks, the latest of which occurred at the Sarsink oil field in Dohuk, resulting in material and economic damage. He emphasized the need for the federal government to uphold security and uncover those who orchestrated these attacks on the region.

Abdullah has tasked the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee with investigating the repeated attacks and violations that jeopardize the region’s stability. He also urged for enhanced security and intelligence measures to prevent future occurrences.
