Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani launched the implementation work for the Nineveh Refinery Project in the Hammam al-Alil district, which will have a capacity of 70,000 barrels per day.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the initiation of this project marks a significant development in Iraq’s oil production capabilities. The Nineveh Refinery Project is expected to bolster the country’s refining capacity and contribute to meeting domestic energy demands. The project’s location in the Hammam al-Alil district is strategically significant, aiming to enhance the region’s economic landscape.
