Geneva: The Iraqi delegation, led by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Shakhwan Abdullah, took part in the opening session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva. This session saw the participation of heads of parliaments from various countries globally.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Abdullah's office released a statement indicating that the Iraqi delegation was welcomed by the Speaker of the International Parliament, the Secretary-General, and the UN Envoy.
