U.S. Envoy to the Middle East Visits Gaza to Assess Humanitarian Situation


Gaza: The U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, announced on Friday that he spent over five hours inside the Gaza Strip in a visit aimed at assessing humanitarian conditions and developing a plan to facilitate the delivery of aid to residents.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Witkoff stated in a post on the platform X that he was accompanied by U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, during the visit. They met with representatives from the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and other relief agencies.



Witkoff explained that the purpose of the visit was to provide U.S. President Donald Trump with an accurate picture of the humanitarian crisis. He emphasized the urgency of working on a plan to deliver food and medicine to those in need in Gaza.
