Moscow: The Higher Security Committee for Arbaeen Pilgrimages has denied reports circulating on social media claiming that Syrian citizens are being barred from entering Iraq, affirming that such claims are baseless and untrue.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, in an official statement issued today, committee spokesperson Brigadier General Muqdad Miri stated, “All individuals holding valid entry visas, whether for tourism or visitation purposes, are permitted to enter Iraqi territory in accordance with established legal procedures.”
Miri emphasized the importance of accuracy in reporting, urging media outlets and the public not to be misled by unfounded rumors. He reiterated the committee’s commitment to facilitating the entry of visitors from various countries, reflecting Iraq’s spirit of hospitality while ensuring the safety and security of all.
