Basra: The Director General of the General Company for Electricity Production in the South, Engineer Haider Ali Hussein, engaged in discussions with the Chinese company United Energy regarding the implementation of a 250-megawatt solar power plant project in the Siba fields of Basra Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company’s media released a statement highlighting the significance of the project in bolstering the energy system and advancing the use of renewable energy sources within Iraq. Both parties have agreed to ramp up technical and administrative meetings to accelerate the project’s completion.
