The Security Council Condemns Violence in Sweida and Urges Civilian Protection


New york: The UN Security Council condemned the violence in Sweida and called for the protection of civilians. The Council’s statement emphasized the necessity for a ceasefire and immediate access to humanitarian aid for those affected by the ongoing conflict.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Council underlined that any political solution must be led by Syrians and include participation from all involved parties. Additionally, the Council expressed disapproval of all forms of foreign interference and demanded accountability for all those implicated in the violence.
