Diyala: A security source reported that two young men drowned in Hamrin Lake in Diyala Governorate today.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the two individuals were from the village of Sarajiq, located in the Al-Salam district. They encountered the tragic incident while swimming in Hamrin Lake, near Al-Katiba Bridge, northeast of Baqubah.

The source further mentioned that a team of divers successfully recovered the body of one of the young men. Efforts are continuing to locate the other individual who remains missing.
