Baghdad: The government has emphasized the need for competent authorities to take legal and judicial actions in line with the Constitution following recent events in Sulaymaniyah. Spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Numan, highlighted the federal government’s call for measures that align with justice and the rule of law.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Numan stated the importance of implementing these measures impartially and transparently, avoiding any armed displays or citizen intimidation. He emphasized that law enforcement should preserve human dignity and protect human rights.

Al-Numan also conveyed the federal government’s commitment to maintaining citizen security across Iraq’s governorates, describing it as a national and moral obligation. The government’s efforts focus on preventing conflict, fostering societal peace, and ensuring regional stability. The interests and safety of Sulaymaniyah Governorate’s residents, as well as the broader region, are prioritized above all.
