Karbala: The Governor of Karbala, Eng. Nassif Jassem Al-Khattabi, recently hosted a delegation of Arbaeen pilgrims from a variety of nations, including Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, and Belgium. This meeting, held shortly after the conclusion of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, highlighted the universal and humanitarian essence of Karbala.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Khattabi emphasized that Karbala, known for its association with Imam Hussein, serves as much more than just a geographical location. It represents a city for all humanity, delivering a message that transcends religions, sects, and nationalities.

He further articulated that the revolution of Imam Hussein was not crafted for a single nation or sect but was conceived as a guiding light for humanity, conveying an enduring message of freedom and dignity. Al-Khattabi assured that Karbala remains open-hearted to every visitor and continues to stand as a global symbol of humanity and a sanctuary for the living conscience worldwide.
