Cairo: The young Egyptian artist Bahaa El Khatib died today, Sunday, at the age of 41, after suffering a sudden heart attack while playing a football match with his friends. El Khatib was quickly transferred to a hospital in 6th of October City in Cairo in an attempt to revive him. However, doctors’ efforts were unsuccessful, and he passed away on Sunday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, his friend, the artist Karim Sorour, announced the news on his personal Facebook account, expressing his sorrow and offering prayers for El Khatib’s soul. Actor Hossam Dagher also revealed on his official Facebook account that El Khatib died due to a sudden fall while playing football, expressing his shock and sadness over the unexpected loss of his close friend.

Bahaa El Khatib was born in 1984 and graduated from the Faculty of Law at Cairo University in 2006. He later pursued his passion for the arts by studying at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, specializing in Acting and Directing. El Khatib began his acting career with small roles in productions like “Countdown” and “My Fate and My Destiny” before gaining recognition in the series “Sunset Oasis.” He also appeared in “The Family of Hajj Noman,” “Newton’s Game,” and the film “Saheb El Maqam.”

His final appearance was in the series “Al Meshwar,” starring Mohamed Ramadan.
