Baghdad: Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, underscored the crucial role of the media in the upcoming phase, focusing on promoting positive narratives and countering campaigns of suspicion and defamation targeted at Iraq’s political landscape. Al-Hakim’s remarks came during a meeting at his office with members of the media committee from the Coordination Framework, including its secretary, Abbas al-Amiri.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim highlighted the necessity of coordinated efforts and unified stances on critical issues. He emphasized the media’s role in increasing public awareness about the importance of upcoming elections, which are pivotal for enhancing and ensuring prolonged stability in Iraq. He noted that high voter participation rates would bolster Iraq’s standing and the credibility of its political system.

Al-Hakim also pointed to the importance of showcasing the stability and improvements in services currently witnessed in the country, urging the use of social media platforms to amplify these achievements. He expressed support for the nation’s security, military, judicial, legislative, and executive institutions, urging appreciation for officials who have demonstrated tangible accomplishments, irrespective of their backgrounds, as a means to motivate others.

He further highlighted the need to focus on the youth, advocating for media discourse that supports and shields them from foreign and harmful ideologies.
