Baghdad: The General Company for Foodstuff Trading at the Ministry of Trade held a meeting today, Tuesday, with a delegation from the Chinese company BFIC, which specializes in solar energy.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Ministry indicated that the meeting focused on reviewing the approved international technical specifications for solar energy systems. The discussions also covered the technical requirements necessary for the installation of these systems at all company sites.

During the meeting, the company’s general manager, Luma Hashim Al-Moussawi, emphasized the need to expedite the implementation of these projects. She highlighted their significant impact in reducing pressure on the national electricity grid and supporting government efforts toward clean and sustainable energy.
