Baghdad: The Military Intelligence Directorate announced the arrest of four terrorists during separate operations conducted in the provinces of Nineveh and Salahuddin. The operations were part of a coordinated effort to curb terrorist activities in the region.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the intelligence units from the 14th and 21st Divisions, in collaboration with security forces, executed well-planned ambushes in various locations across the two provinces. The first operation, executed in the Al-Shirqat district of Salahuddin Province, resulted in the capture of three terrorists.
The statement further detailed that the second operation in Nineveh Province led to the arrest of another individual linked to terrorist activities. All four detainees are wanted by the judiciary under Article 4/1 of the Anti-Terrorism Law.
The Military Intelligence Directorate emphasized that the captured individuals have been handed over to the competent authorities. This was done following the completion of all necessary legal procedures to ensure proper prosecution under the law.
