Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani emphasized the importance of the strategic bilateral relationship between Iraq and the United States, focusing on enhancing joint coordination between the two nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Office released a statement noting that al-Sudani met with Joshua Harris, the new Charg© d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, marking Harris’s commencement of his duties. During this meeting, al-Sudani reiterated the significance of the strategic partnership and the need for increased collaboration across various sectors, aiming to benefit the citizens of both Iraq and the United States.

The discussions between al-Sudani and Harris also covered regional conditions, highlighting key international topics and mutual interests. They exchanged views on several issues and explored avenues for cooperation to bolster regional stability.
