Baghdad: The Foreign Ministers of the Arab Islamic Committee on Gaza have condemned the policies and practices of the Zionist entity, which they claim are aimed at uprooting the Palestinian people through expanded military operations in the Gaza Strip.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the committee issued a joint statement expressing their rejection of any statements from the Zionist entity regarding the displacement of Palestinians from their land, which has been occupied since 1967. The ministers condemned what they described as Zionist policies and practices, including expanding military operations, imposing blockades, and targeting civilians and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
The statement also highlighted concerns over illegal Israeli actions in the West Bank, such as settlement expansion, settler violence, home demolitions, and land seizures. The foreign ministers called for an immediate halt to these actions, which they argue violate international humanitarian law. They also demanded accountability for those involved, suggesting that these violations could amount to ethnic cleansing and genocide.
The ministers reiterated their call for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the removal of restrictions on humanitarian aid. They also urged for international support to enable the Palestinian National Authority to return to Gaza and assist in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
The committee emphasized that Zionist practices and violations are serious breaches of international law and the United Nations Charter. The Foreign Ministers urged the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to protect the Palestinian people and work towards ending the Zionist occupation.
