Spain Imposes Sanctions on Israel Over Gaza Conflict

Madrid: Spanish Prime Minister Pedro S¡nchez has announced a series of measures against Israel in response to what he has characterized as a policy of ‘genocide’ taking place in the Gaza Strip.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, S¡nchez outlined these measures during a press conference, stating that Spain will prohibit ships carrying fuel for Israeli forces from passing through Spanish ports. Additionally, aircraft transporting defense materials to Israel will be barred from Spanish airspace.

The Spanish government has also resolved to deny entry to individuals suspected of war crimes and genocide into Spain. Furthermore, they have announced a ban on importing products from illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank and Gaza.

The announced measures extend to reducing consular services for Spanish citizens living in illegal settlements, while simultaneously enhancing support for the Palestinian Authority. Spain will also increase its contributions to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

In a further show of support, the Spanish government will allocate additional humanitarian aid to Gaza and broaden cooperation efforts to assist the Palestinian people.
