Baghdad: The Popular Mobilization Commission announced on Monday the arrest of a member of the ISIS terrorist organization in the Nineveh Plain.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Commission revealed that an intelligence unit from the 30th Brigade, operating under the Nineveh Operations Command, successfully apprehended the suspect. The arrest took place at one of the entrances to the Nineveh Plain, following precise intelligence information.

The detainee is reportedly wanted by the judiciary under Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law. The statement confirmed that legal measures were promptly taken against the individual, and he was handed over to the competent authorities for further action.
