Maysan: The Maysan Governorate Police Command has successfully apprehended four individuals wanted for fraud and drug trafficking in two separate operations within the governorate.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the police command revealed that a suspect involved in fraud and deception was arrested following a meticulously planned ambush by the town’s police department. The operation was executed after acquiring precise intelligence, leading to the suspect’s capture under Article (456) of the Penal Code, which pertains to fraud and deception offenses. The suspect was found in possession of a weapon and has been placed in a security detention center pending the completion of legal proceedings.
In a concurrent operation, a coordinated effort involving the First Regiment, Fourth Brigade of the Rapid Response Division, the Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Directorate in Maysan, and the Rapid Response Intelligence Department led to the arrest of three individuals. These suspects were wanted under Article (28) related to drug offenses. The trio has been formally transferred to the requesting authorities for further action.
