Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji stressed the importance of the role of scholars and clerics in educating society, preserving the unity of Iraqis, embodying their cohesion, and consolidating societal peace through informed and moderate discourse.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Chancellery issued a statement saying, “National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji received Adnan al-Muzani today, Saturday.” The statement further elaborated on the discussions held during the meeting.

The meeting highlighted the significance of strengthening the role of scholars, clerics, and sheikhs in consolidating the concepts of civil peace and rejecting extremist discourse. It also underscored the importance of adhering to national unity that unites all segments of the Iraqi people.
