Washington: Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met with US President Donald Trump and other officials in New York on Friday evening, where Washington affirmed that Qatar is a trusted strategic ally of the United States.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a senior White House official reported that the Qatari Prime Minister also met with US Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Presidential Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff.
NewsNation quoted an informed source as saying: “Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani’s meeting with President Trump and Witkoff was good, as they discussed future steps and reached positive results.”
The same source explained that the Qatari Prime Minister’s meetings with the national security team focused on Gaza.
