Iraq and Pakistan Discuss Cooperation in Military Aviation


Islamabad: Commander of the Iraqi Air Force, Lieutenant General Pilot Muhannad Ghaleb Mohammed Radhi Al-Asadi, paid an official visit to the Pakistani Air Force headquarters in the capital, Islamabad, heading a high-level delegation and in the presence of the Iraqi military attach© in Pakistan.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Ministry of Defense stated that Al-Asadi met with Air Marshal Zuhair Ahmed Babar Siddiqi, Commander of the Pakistani Air Force. During the meeting, they emphasized the deep religious and historical ties between Iraq and Pakistan, and the importance of developing military cooperation between the two air forces, particularly in the areas of training, capacity building, exchange of expertise, and holding joint exercises to enhance readiness and operational harmony.



The Iraqi Air Force Commander praised the significant progress achieved by the Pakistani Air Force in the technological and training fields, stressing Iraq’s keenness to benefit from these pioneering experiences in restructuring and developing the Iraqi air training system in accordance with the latest international models.



For his part, the Pakistani Air Force Commander reiterated his country’s commitment to supporting the Iraqi Air Force in training and capacity-building programs, expressing Pakistan’s readiness to expand military cooperation to serve the common interests of the armed forces of both countries.
