Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received the British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq, on Sunday. A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office highlighted that the discussions were centered on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for cooperation in various sectors, notably economic and investment initiatives that align with mutual interests.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting also delved into regional developments, underscoring the urgent need to halt the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip and ensure humanitarian aid reaches affected civilians promptly. Both parties stressed the importance of upholding state sovereignty and adhering to international laws, while condemning recent aggressive actions by occupying forces, including the latest attack on Qatar.
