Gaza city: The Israeli army has issued an urgent warning to residents in specific areas of Gaza City, instructing them to evacuate immediately in anticipation of a possible bombing. The warning specifically targets residents near the Gaza Port and the Rimal neighborhood, particularly those in Blocks 702, 703, 704, and 705.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Israeli army’s warning is linked to a potential bombing aimed at what it terms “terrorist infrastructure” associated with Hamas. The warning highlights the Unknown Soldier Tower building, marked in red on the coordinates shared with residents, along with nearby tents on Omar al-Mukhtar Street. Residents have been urged to move south towards the humanitarian zone in al-Mawasi, Khan Yunis, for their safety. The army’s statement clearly states: “For your own safety, you are obliged to evacuate the building and the surrounding area immediately.”
This warning comes amid increasing Israeli military activities across several regions in the Gaza Strip. Humanitarian organizations have raised alarms about the worsening conditions resulting from ongoing displacement and infrastructure collapse, with the UN cautioning about an impending humanitarian crisis.
As of now, there have been no responses from the Palestinian authorities or Hamas concerning this threat. Meanwhile, civilians are reportedly moving towards pre-determined evacuation zones in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
