Iraq and Germany Discuss Partnership Enhancement in Economic Development

Baghdad: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr al-Ulum, received the German Charg© d'Affaires, Roland Westebe, in Baghdad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that a number of issues of common interest between Iraq and Germany were discussed during the meeting, with both sides affirming that relations between the two countries are witnessing increasing development that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the dialogue addressed ways to enhance the partnership between Baghdad and Berlin, particularly in the areas of economic development and expanding the horizons of joint cooperation. The meeting also touched on developments in regional and international situations, including the recent Israeli aggression against the State of Qatar. Iraq stressed its rejection of the violations that threaten the security of the region, emphasizing the importance of taking all necessary measures to enhance peace and stability at the regional and international levels.
