Makhmur: A joint force from the 58th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the 50th Brigade – 14th Division of the Army carried out a joint security operation in the valleys of Mount Qara Jogh in Makhmur District, south of Nineveh Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Popular Mobilization Forces stated that the operation aims to pursue remnants of the terrorist ISIS and secure the mountainous areas with rugged terrain. Military units began a comprehensive search of the peaks, valleys, and difficult paths to ensure they are free of any terrorist activity or security threat.

The statement added that the participating forces demonstrated a high level of discipline and combat enthusiasm. The forces confirmed through their field performance that the land of Iraq will no longer be a haven for terrorism and that they will continue to protect the people and defend the sovereignty of the homeland with all determination and resolve.
