Al-Mandlawi and Barzani Discuss Mechanisms for Political and Economic Stability


Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and head of the Iraqi Asas Alliance, Mohsen al-Mandalawi, held a meeting with the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, today. The meeting, attended by several MPs, focused on crucial national issues, particularly the relationship between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Mandalawi’s office issued a statement highlighting the discussions centered around consolidating political and economic stability in Iraq. Mandalawi emphasized the necessity for enhanced coordination between Baghdad and Erbil to effectively tackle economic and security challenges. Key topics included the national budget and the management of natural resources, all within the constitutional framework.



Mandlawi further stressed the importance of unified efforts to advance administrative and financial reforms. Addressing these issues, he explained, is essential for bolstering citizens’ confidence in governmental institutions at both central and regional levels.
