Baghdad: Minister of Construction, Housing, and Public Municipalities, Benkin Rekani, met with the UK Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq, at the Ministry’s headquarters. The meeting was attended by Engineer Ammar Adel, Director General of the Ministry’s General Directorate of Water.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions centered around the desalination of drainage water and the treatment of non-conventional water resources project. This initiative is part of the Iraqi-British agreement established during the Prime Minister’s visit to London earlier this year.

The Ministry’s statement highlighted that measures to enhance joint relations in the construction sector and the involvement of British companies in implementing various ministry projects were also discussed.
