Baghdad: The capital, Baghdad, is set to host the prominent economic event, the 'Iraq Investment Forum,' next Saturday and Sunday, under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, with the official slogan: 'Invest in Mesopotamia.' The forum is organized by the Iraqi Economic Council in partnership with the National Investment Commission, under the direct supervision of the Prime Minister's Office.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the forum, which was postponed several times due to regional circumstances and events, will bring together leading Arab and international companies, alongside a distinguished presence of institutions and organizations involved in economic and investment affairs. The event provides a key platform to showcase ready investment opportunities across various economic sectors, presented by the National Investment Commission, several ministries, provincial investment authorities, and the private sector.

The forum's agenda includes main themes and live panel discussions highlighting measures supporting the investment environment, promising projects, and Iraq's regional and global role in energy, industry, agriculture, trade, and transport.

The forum will also feature a presentation on the 'Strategic Development Road' project, detailing its developmental and economic objectives and the investment opportunities it offers. Additionally, the second phase of new city projects will be announced, which will provide more than 150,000 housing units in fully integrated urban areas across several Iraqi provinces.

Furthermore, the forum will showcase over 160 investment opportunities in diverse sectors, including oil and gas, energy and renewable energy, healthcare, pharmaceutical and food industries, manufacturing, transport, heavy and medium industries, tourism, hospitality, entertainment, higher education, scientific research, housing and real estate development, agriculture and livestock production, as well as industrial cities and free zones.
